This position will analyze past financial performance and predict future performance to help support management decisions by providing actionable financial information. It requires a strong analytical background with the ability to design, implement, and maintain financial models for reporting to stakeholders across the organization as well as high-level management. This individual should be a self-starter and able to demonstrate sound judgement and versatility in decision-making and problem solving.Location preference is Richmond, VA however we will consider candidates who are located in Virginia. -What you will get to do:

• Prepare analytical schedules and reports to support regular, periodic informational needs as well as special requests from management. Examples of analyses may include financial planning, budgeting, financial backlog and forecasting, resource utilization, client analysis, rate analysis, and overall trending.
• Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making.
• Contribute to business improvement discussions and initiatives company wide.
• Study financial data to give advice for guiding business investments.
• Analyze industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.What We'd Like to See:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in finance, accounting, statistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a financial analyst.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to stakeholders across the organization with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and U.S. GAAP.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI required.
  • Experience with data visualization and creating dashboards that make it easier for internal teams to digest the data.
