Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Revenue
Accountant is responsible for managing and recording
revenue-related financial transactions with accuracy and
timeliness. This role will oversee accounts receivable processes,
maintain the general ledger, and perform regular bank
reconciliations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills,
a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to
collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial
reporting. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Prepare and
issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule. Monitor
outstanding receivables, apply payments, and follow up on past-due
accounts. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
promptly. Maintain detailed documentation of AR activities,
adjustments, and communications. General Ledger Prepare and post
journal entries including revenue, adjustments, and
reclassifications. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
monthly. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes. Support
audit requests by providing schedules, documentation, and
explanations as needed. Bank Reconciliation Perform monthly bank
reconciliations for all operating and treasury accounts. Identify
and research reconciling items, ensuring timely resolution. Monitor
and verify cash activity and maintain accurate cash reporting.
Revenue Accounting Analyze and record revenue transactions in
accordance with GAAP. Review contracts for appropriate revenue
recognition treatment. Prepare revenue reports and proactively
investigate variances. Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with
sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate billing and
reporting. Participate in process improvements to streamline
workflow and increase efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2 years of accounting
experience, preferably with revenue or AR focus. Strong
understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and
problem-solving ability. Strong communication skills and the
ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
