hiring for a Full Time Assistant Branch Manager to work in person
from our Hilltop Branch located in Virginia Beach, VA. Job Summary:
Oversees the branch's operations and helps grow the assigned
branch's business. In partnership with the Branch Manager,
supervises Branch Services staff and utilizes resources to provide
members of Langley with impeccable service. Maintains exceptional
service quality by training the staff to utilize consultative
selling to offer financial products and services that meet or
exceed members’ needs. Provides Branch Services Staff on-going
individual coaching and ensures their continued development.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: Supervises
operational and administrative activities, including timekeeping,
scheduling, balancing, opening, and closing. Grows market share of
loans and deposits for new and existing members. Supports and
coaches the sales and service culture by providing weekly, monthly,
individual, and team coaching to drive branch results that align
with achieving Success Sharing goals. Delivers ongoing feedback on
staff performance and development. Fosters teamwork by
professionally interacting with peers, supervisors, and other
Langley employees. Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff
including providing on-site training. Actively participate in
cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective and efficient
communication. Participates in ongoing evaluation of processes and
procedures to ensure the member experience is met. Processes new
accounts, additional share types, and IRAs following policies to
ensure compliance with BSA and US Patriots Act laws. Processes
consumer loan products and services, including personal, auto, home
equity line of credit, and credit cards, ensuring compliance with
federal regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
Processes all types of transactions for members including, balance
inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account opening, and
all other requests. Provides assistance to members with all account
and loan-related service needs, including offering financial advice
that will improve their financial well-being. Complies with all
Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements. Works at other
branch locations as needed. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in
a related field, four years of sales or service experience advising
customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience is required. 4 years of
financial institution experience required. One year of supervisory
