Job Description \n The Maintenance Technician at the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Innsbrook is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned. \n \n ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \n \n \n Participate in the preventative maintenance program. \n Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner. \n Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities. \n Effectively and professionally communicates with guests, co-workers, and supervisor. \n Ensures all fire and safety inspections and protocols are completed, and any discrepancies are corrected. \n Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of, and products and materials used in, repair activities. \n Obtains pricing and bids or develops cost estimates as needed. \n Monitors tools, supplies and inventories of maintenance department. \n Places orders with approved vendors as needed. \n Maintains working spaces in safe and clean condition. \n Communicates directly with front desk for guest service request issues, housekeeping for work orders, General Manager for orders and capital expenditure projects. \n Carry all equipment to be prepared to always carry out work tasks. \n Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager. \n Other Duties as assigned. \n \n \n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n \n \n Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. \n Verbal and written communication skills. \n Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations. \n Reasoning abilities are always utilized. \n Basic maintenance skills required. \n Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment. \n Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing. \n Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. \n Must have a desire to serve all guests. \n Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job. \n \n \n PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \n \n \n Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree. \n Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.). \n At least 2 years of work-related experience \n Carry all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) to maintain preparedness to always carry out work tasks. \n Experience in a hotel, apartment, or a related field \n \n \n Our Company \n \n MCR is the 3rd-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States. \n Founded in 2006, our company has offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia. \n MCR has a $5.0 billion portfolio of 148 premium-branded hotels containing more than 22,000 guestrooms across 37 states and 106 cities . \n MCR has more than 7,000 team members across the country and operates hotels under 9 Marriott brands, 8 Hilton brands and a number of unflagged independent hotels. \n MCR was named one of Fast Company ’s 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020 . \n MCR is a three-time recipient of the Marriott Partnership Circle Award , the highest honor Marriott presents to its owner and franchise partners, and a recipient of the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer . \n For the TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK Airport, MCR won the Development of the Year (Full Service) Award at The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) , the Urban Land Institute New York Excellence in Hotel Development Award and the American Institute of Architects national Architecture Award, the highest honor given by the AIA \n \n What we offer/What’s in it for you? \n \n Hotel Discounts \n Weekly Pay \n Paid Time Off \n Retirement Options \n Referral bonuses \n Career advancement & upward mobility \n Health, Dental, Vision Insurance- available after 30 days of employment for full-time team members \n
