about ! About the Role: The Electrician / Maintenance Technician
for the 2nd shift plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous
and safe operation of electrical systems and equipment within the
facility. This position is responsible for performing routine
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and
mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential
issues before they escalate, contributing to a safe and efficient
work environment. The technician will collaborate closely with
other maintenance team members and departments to support
operational goals and comply with safety regulations. Ultimately,
this position ensures that all electrical infrastructure operates
reliably during the 2nd shift, supporting overall business
continuity. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent.preferred Completion of an accredited electrician
apprenticeship or equivalent technical training. Preferred Valid
electrician license or certification as required by state
regulations helpful Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial
or commercial electrical maintenance.Required Ability to work the
2nd shift schedule reliably. Preferred Qualifications: Associate
degree or technical diploma in electrical technology or related
field. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and
automated control systems. Familiarity with HVAC systems and
mechanical maintenance. Certification in OSHA safety standards or
equivalent safety training. Experience working in a manufacturing
or production environment. Responsibilities: Perform routine
inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical
systems, machinery, and equipment during the 2nd shift. Diagnose
electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices and
tools, and implement effective solutions promptly. Collaborate with
maintenance and operations teams to coordinate repairs and minimize
production interruptions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance
activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational
efficiency. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory
standards to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Skills: The required skills enable the technician to effectively
diagnose and repair electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption
to operations. Proficiency with electrical testing instruments and
tools is essential for accurate troubleshooting and maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude supports the ability to work on related
equipment and systems beyond electrical components. Preferred
skills such as knowledge of PLCs and automated systems enhance the
technician's capability to maintain modern industrial equipment.
Additionally, safety awareness and adherence to protocols are
critical daily practices to protect both personnel and
equipment.
