Job Description Job Description Summary The Graphic Designer is
responsible for creating high-quality visual content for both print
and digital media to support communications, outreach, and public
engagement initiatives. This role develops compelling graphics,
infographics, presentations, animations, and visual assets for
press materials, events, video production, web platforms, and
social media. Key Responsibilities Create, design, and layout
graphic materials for print and digital media, including reports,
publications, fact sheets, and web assets. Design, edit, and
enhance Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to support internal and
external communications. Develop graphic designs for press kits,
press releases, media events, and other press-related materials.
Illustrate and design infographics that visually explain complex
data and concepts for diverse audiences. Create graphics for trade
shows, conferences, exhibits, event booths, and media events.
Design visual assets to support video production, including
storyboards, motion graphics, and supporting materials. Develop
animated content for video, web platforms, and social media
channels as needed. Create original illustrations in traditional,
digital, and 3-D formats to clarify and enhance understanding of
technical or descriptive information. Establish, maintain, and
support the Agency’s visual identity while ensuring consistent
application of branding guidelines. Advise staff on branding
standards and best practices for visual communication. Research
subject matter to ensure accuracy and clarity in illustrations,
infographics, and visual materials. Collaborate with researchers
and subject-matter experts to interpret and visually represent
complex concepts. Gather and document requirements from
stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously, working
independently or as part of a team. Ensure all visual content
complies with Section 508 accessibility standards and usability
guidelines. Provide technical and artistic guidance to staff on
visual information and design solutions. Participate in special
projects and perform other creative and visually related duties as
assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design,
Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent
professional experience. Proven experience designing graphics for
both print and digital media in a professional environment. Strong
proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including
Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro).
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to create visually engaging,
presentation-ready content. Demonstrated ability to create
infographics, illustrations, animations, and visual assets that
explain complex information clearly. Experience with video
graphics, motion design, and animated content for digital platforms
and social media. Knowledge of branding principles and experience
applying and maintaining visual identity guidelines. Familiarity
with Section 508 accessibility requirements and inclusive design
best practices. Strong research skills and attention to detail to
ensure accuracy in visual representations. Excellent communication
and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with
researchers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Ability to
manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing
