Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
speech-language professional opportunity is available in Norfolk,
VA, serving a diverse PreK-12 student population across multiple
school settings, including neighboring areas such as Chesapeake,
Hampton, Virginia Beach, and Suffolk. This position is a contract
role for the 2023-2024 school year, requiring 37.5 hours per week.
Ideal candidates will possess school-based experience as a
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA), or possess relevant credentials in school
settings. This role specifically excludes new graduates; candidates
must demonstrate prior work in educational environments with varied
student needs. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality
speech and language evaluations, therapy services, and
collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student
communication goals. The ability to manage caseloads effectively
and adapt services to individual student requirements is essential.
Qualifications & Experience: - Current licensure or certification
as an SLP or SLPA with school-based credentials - Proven experience
working with school-aged children across PreK-12 grades -
Familiarity with educational assessments and individualized
education program (IEP) processes - Strong interpersonal and
communication skills for collaboration with educators, families,
and support staff - No new graduates; candidates must have prior
school setting experience Location: Norfolk, VA, with service
extending to adjacent communities including Chesapeake, Hampton,
