Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding
opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to
support elementary students in the Virginia Beach area. This
contract position offers a dynamic working environment within a
school setting, with assignments varying by caseload and schools.
The role involves working closely with young learners to assess
their educational and psychological needs and collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Key
Responsibilities: - Conduct psychological assessments and testing
for elementary-aged students. - Participate actively in ARD,
re-evaluation, and IEP meetings to develop and review
individualized education plans. - Collaborate with teachers,
parents, and school staff to identify student needs and implement
intervention strategies. - Maintain accurate records and
documentation in accordance with district policies. - Provide
support and guidance based on psychological evaluations to enhance
student learning outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid
State licensure as a School Psychologist. - Active Department of
Education (DOE) certification required. - Willingness to work with
elementary age groups. - Open to new graduates as well as
candidates with up to 10 years of experience. - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with
students, families, and school personnel. Location and Schedule: -
Position is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. - School day
schedule typically from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. - Caseload and hours
per week are flexible, with options for full-time or part-time
