Department of Computer Science at Norfolk State University is
seeking applications for a 9-month tenure-track Computer Science
position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin
in August 2025. Applications will be accepted until the position is
filled. RESPONSIBILITIES: D uties include teaching graduate, and
undergraduate courses, advising and mentoring undergraduate and
graduate students; developing curricula; serving on departmental,
school, and university committees; performing appropriate scholarly
and service activities; obtaining external funding and conducting
research in computer science, Cybersecurity or artificial

Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. (or equivalent) in computer science,
or a closely related field. Skillset and background to teach a wide
range of computer science courses. Additional Considerations
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience.

courses including computer networking, computer programming,
artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and information technology
at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Special Instructions
