The Department offers five curricula in History, four curricula in Interdisciplinary Studies, three minors (Interdisciplinary Studies, History, and Africana Studies), a certificate in African and African Diaspora Studies, and fully online programs in both History and Interdisciplinary Studies. The successful candidate will: · Instruct and mentor our diverse community of Interdisciplinary Studies majors. · Teach undergraduate courses in Interdisciplinary Studies with specialization(s) outside of the social sciences. · Develop and teach courses on regionally relevant topics that are addressable through interdisciplinary approaches involving the sciences, business, and/or education. · Engage in both face-to-face and online instruction and have an interdisciplinary research/scholarship agenda. · Assist with university service at the department, college, and university levels.
