We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. You are responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise for established and new automated equipment lines. You can expect to work as an integral part of the team.
What you will be doing:

• 
  Excel in a team environment with excellent communication and customer skills, while at the same time work technically independent
  • Develop equipment, processes, and systems where no precedence exists
  • Implement new equipment, processes, or systems from concept to commercialization.
  • Design and conduct tests of equipment or production systems and review performance data to ultimately provide capability assessment.
  • Provide problem solving support to engineering and maintenance staff to quickly diagnose equipment, controls, and system issues
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing systems, and execute data driven problem-solving activities to ensure reliability
  • Support the effective transfer of equipment, processes, or systems to manufacturing
    What we want you to have:
    • 
      BS Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience
      • Experience in and strong understanding of machine/process controls, system integration, and inspection technologies
      • Demonstration of capability in PLC Programming, Motion Control, and HMI Development, all within the Allen Bradley Environment
      • Component selection, wiring diagrams, and electrical cabinet design
      • Implementing systems or equipment in a development and/or production environment
      • Proficient in AutoCad Electrical
      • Data collection and reporting, with data management/analytics experience a plus
      • Working knowledge of IT systems and networking a plus
      • Solid understanding of integrated mechanical systems
      • Experience in project management tools and methods
      • Primarily day shift however the incumbent will need to be flexible to provide support to other shifts if it is needed
      • This position may involve some travel and extended time in manufacturing, pilot, and lab environments that require the use of PPE.
