Job Description:
Working with suppliers on new products and existing product
improvements, technical support, and customer value, the Product
Engineer will gather ideas, encourage innovation, improve
manufacturing automation while establishing standard operating
procedures, and improve the customer experience. The Engineer will
play a crucial role in a developing team and be tasked with
enhancing the design, producibility, and profitability of our most
complex product lines.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-caliber drafting while following accepted writing and
detail standards (ANSI).
Collaborate with suppliers to suggest, record, and communicate
modifications to parts and assemblies through an ECN process.
Recognize and convey important dimension elements.
To increase the number of 3D product library configurations, use
parametric modeling.
Create and maintain product installation instructions and user
reference manuals using technical writing skills.
Work alone and collaboratively on several projects at once as a
team.
Coordinate precise Bill of Materials and product data by working
with MRP specialists.
Verify and test custom orders before approving them or finding a
substitute.
General responsibility for a product line, including Bills of
Materials, the correctness of the drawings, and the general
standard of order fulfillment.
Production Automation.
Create standardized work practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop new goods and enhance
existing ones.
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency in and use of the SolidWorks 3D software.
Practical experience with AutoCAD or another drafting program.
A bachelor's degree in industrial design or mechanical engineering
is preferred.
To set engineering standards, a person must be organized,
disciplined, and detail-oriented.
Practical mechanical aptitude.
The ability to lift 50 pounds and experience with hand tools are
preferred.
The capacity to read blueprints and drawings.
knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience in fabrication and sheet metal is preferred.
