Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in automated testing frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10+ years in software quality assurance and automation, with the ability to work onsite in Reston, VA and participate in a face-to-face interview as part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing.
Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure quality standards are met.
Identify, report, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automation suites.
Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work with teams to resolve issues.
Execute manual testing as needed during regression or exploratory test cycles.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 10+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong emphasis on automation.
Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent tools.
Strong scripting skills using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

Experience in performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
ISTQB or other QA certifications.
