experienced Security Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal
candidate will ensure that classified systems meet or exceed
federal cybersecurity and compliance standards, including
vulnerability management, PKI, COMSEC, and audit readiness.Key
Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability scans (Tenable, VPR) and implement
security hardening.
- Maintain Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages in
CSAM.
- Manage PKI and IC-PKI certificates, including soft/hard token
lifecycle management.
- Support audit preparation, contingency planning, and incident
response.
- Provide COMSEC support, including key issuance and inventory
management.This position is full-time and onsite in Washington, DC.
Remote support is not available.Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information
Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related
field preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant
cybersecurity experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years supporting enterprise IT security
in a federal or classified environment.
- Skills/Certifications:
- Experience with Certification & Accreditation (C&A), CSAM,
and NIST frameworks.
- Proven skills in security monitoring, vulnerability management,
incident response, and audit support.
- Familiarity with DOJ security standards, FISMA, NIST 800-53,
RMF, and ICD 503.
- Proficiency with security tools such as Tenable Nessus, Splunk,
VPR, etc.
- Strong understanding of PKI, smart card certificates, and
IC-PKI lifecycle.
- Experience with security plans, contingency and incident
response plans, and control assessments.
- Ability to coordinate with engineering, system administrators,
and COMSEC personnel.Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or
