innovation. The Work We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer
with a strong hardware background to own the development,
integration, and verification of advanced sensor based subsurface
platforms. The role will drive requirements definition, risk
management, trade studies, and hardware design while interfacing
with multiple stakeholders to ensure mission feasibility, schedule
adherence, and cost effectiveness.
________________________________________ Key Responsibilities •
Requirements Engineering • Develop, decompose, and allocate
stakeholder requirements from high level GFI system specifications.
• Produce unit descriptions, signal I/O, and interface control
documents (ICD/IDD/IRS) and translate them into hardware and
software artifacts. • Review and approve technical documentation,
drawings, calculations, and specifications. • System Integration &
Verification • Create verification plans, acceptance test criteria,
and requirements-test traceability artifacts (SRVMs) for analysis
based verification. • Conduct functional analysis, trade studies,
and risk assessments; manage obsolescence/EOL mitigation and
emerging sensor integration. • Hardware Design & Analysis • Prepare
conceptual hardware designs, support design reviews, and generate
hardware kickoff materials. • Stakeholder Interaction • Coordinate
system engineering activities across multi-disciplined teams. •
Engage with customers, program managers, and external partners to
resolve technical challenges and define effective strategies. Why

Qualifications • Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering,
Systems Engineering, or related field with 2 years of related
experience. • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance • Must
have experience in developing System Engineering processes and
system architecture principles throughout program life cycle
activities • Skilled in a Requirements Management Tool suite that
captures requirements to verifications such as IBM Jazz Suite
Engineering LifeCycle Management (ELM) / NextGen Dynamic Object
Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) • Experience in, capturing,
developing, linking, tracing, decomposing and evaluation of system
and subsystem requirements • Experience in Interface Control
Document (ICD), Interface Requirement Specification (IRS) and
Interface Design Document (IDD) development • Must have experience
in developing System Engineering processes and system architecture
principles throughout program life cycle activities Desired skills
• Demonstrated experience in the development and operations of
Sonar Systems • Skills in fostering relationships with and
coordinating with other company partners and customer organizations
(NUWC, NAVSEA, PMS, IWS5) to ensure technical design solutions from
all parties meet system design intents • Experience with

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be
performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work
Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of
alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance
Information This position requires a government security clearance,
you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual
base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts,
and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado,
Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont,
Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers
factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of
the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key
skills as well as market and business considerations when extending
