Job Description:
The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program is seeking a GMP
Training Manager to help create highly customized and engaging
training deliverables as part of a new world-class Talent Solutions
Division within VEDP. Operated by the Virginia Economic Development
Partnership (VEDP), the Virginia Talent Accelerator provides fully
customized talent acquisition and training solutions at no cost to
qualified new and expanding companies as an incentive for job
creation.
We recently secured a new health science industry client and seek a
person experienced with GMP training in pharmaceutical or biologic
product manufacturing to lead our efforts to support this client
and similar companies in our pipeline. The core deliverables will
be new-hire technician training modules that are fully customized
to each client company's unique processes, equipment, procedures
and standards.
This position also offers a rare and exciting opportunity to lead
and contribute to other projects with the world's most prestigious
manufacturing companies as they deploy leading edge technologies at
their new or expanding Virginia locations. In addition to creating
engaging training, the GMP Training Manager will deliver
instruction and serve as the client's primary point of contact for
the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program.
The position reports directly to the Managing Director of Project
Operations, Talent Solutions.-- It requires some statewide travel,
occasional domestic or international travel and frequent local
travel (most of our health science clients are within a 30 minute
drive of our downtown Richmond office).
Responsibilities:
? Collaborate with Virginia Talent Accelerator colleagues and
client teams to assess the new operation's start-up training needs,
define the scope of services and develop a training development /
delivery schedule
? Create, design and delivery of highly customized training
programs for each client company's unique processes, equipment,
procedures and standards
? Collaborate with our in-house team of illustrators, animators,
videographers and graphic designers to create highly visual
training materials that accelerate learning through
visualization
? Work with client subject matter experts to refine training
deliverables and identify opportunities to deploy technology for a
world-class training experience
? Serve as the client's primary point of contact for the Virginia
Talent Accelerator Program, ensuring that all deadlines are met and
all VEDP deliverables are valued by the client
? Contribute to the design and development of a core suite of
modules that will serve as program's foundational offerings in
topics such as FDA compliance, clean room, etc.
Skills:
? Proficiency in designing, creating and facilitating technical
training
? Excels under pressure, in a fast-paced, high-profile work
environment
? Enjoys meeting needs/deadlines of internal and external
customers
? Extensive knowledge of project management and practices
Education/Experience:
? Significant instructional design experience in a pharmaceutical
or biologic product manufacturing operation
? Significant experience in facilitating training, preferably in a
manufacturing or corporate environment
? Significant experience in project management within
external/internal cross-functional teams
? Experience developing and delivering training using eLearning.--
Experience with AR or VR technologies is a plus.
? Private-sector experience working in and/or with large,
multinational firm(s)
? Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; advanced
degree is a plus
