Position Information Title: Director of Sales and Business DevelopmentTitle of Immediate Supervisor: Director of Strategy ImplementationSalary: $50K-60K base (depending on experience) with bonusStatus: ExemptClassification: Full-timeLocation:--Statewide/ Flexible WorkThis position requires collaboration with:1. Director of Strategy Implementation2. Leadership Team (CEO, Director of Strategy Implementation, Director of Mission)3. Prospective and current clients4. Community Partners and Donors5. Vendors and Administrative ServicesPrimary function of the position:1. Sell and market mission related services which positively impact our clients and contributeto the financial sustainability of CA2. Lead community engagement, fundraising and volunteer efforts3. Support to CASpecific functions of the Position: 1. Sell and market mission related services which positively impact our clients and contribute to the financial sustainability of CA Business Development (70%)-- Develop plans to enroll clients in all areas across the Commonwealth of Virginia-- Generate new business to increase earned income revenue as outlined in annual budget-- Drive upgrades and contract renewals-- Maintain departmental scorecard to communicate weekly/monthly/quarterly results-- Oversee all business development efforts for CA (prospecting, qualifying,presentation/proposal and MOU process)-- Use upfront contracts and questioning strategies to determine pain, budget anddecision making process-- Identify client needs and develop proposals and presentations for qualified candidates incollaboration with other CA leaders to suggest appropriate products/services-- Facilitate internal New Business Development Meetings with department and program leads-- Oversee business development budget-- Lead, manage and hold accountable all associates under direct supervisionMarketing (20%)-- Build awareness and expand outreach initiatives to further saturate awareness of CA and theproblems we solve across the Commonwealth of Virginia-- Connect with those who need us through various communication channels such as socialmedia, digital campaigns, speaking engagements, sponsorships, community events, etc.-- Develop and adhere to quarterly marketing calendar-- Serve as liaison with external vendors (e.g., fractional marketing strategy, graphicdesign support), coordinating and participating in meetings, reviewing briefs andscopes, ensuring deliverables are met, etc.-- Ensure all messaging adheres to CA brand standards and appropriately represents our corevalues-- Ensure marketing and business development efforts are integrated-- Maintain departmental scorecard to communicate weekly/monthly/quarterly results-- Lead, manage and hold accountable all associates under direct supervision2. Lead community engagement, fundraising and volunteer efforts (10%)-- Plan and execute Annual Giving Campaign, communicating with constituents, Board ofDirectors, and staff-- Develop, market and oversee sponsorship and volunteer opportunities-- Cultivate and maintain list of donors, volunteers, and sponsors; communicate appreciationfor their involvement and support their continued commitment to the organization-- Lead, manage and hold accountable all associates under direct supervision3. Support to CA-- Model the organizations' values (collaboration, use of best practices, innovation,transparency, flexibility)-- Assist with change management including consistent messaging and-- communications pertaining to organizational priorities and new initiatives-- Maintain intellectual property of the organization-- Maintain confidentiality-- Assist with file management and maintenance, including cloud based systems; ensure-- organizational adherence to document retention/destruction policy-- Maintain objectivity while representing CA and performing associated CA responsibilities.-- Communicate using layman's terms (not technical jargon)-- Provide accommodations in support of the Americans with Disabilities Act, when requested,as appropriate-- Communicate with transparency by keeping an updated shared weekly calendar-- Follow through on all commitments and meet deadlines-- Work to problem solve challenging situations by requesting help from supervisor orcoworkers-- Assist with special projects as neededMinimum QualificationsRequired primary attributes:-- Proven sales track record* Empathic and understanding of the experiences of those impacted by autism and developmental disabilities-- Enthusiastic and passionate about CA's mission and value proposition-- Enjoys networking and is energized by meeting new people-- Strong communicator (i.e., verbal and written) but an even better listener-- Persistent, disciplined and organizedAdditional attributes needed:-- Proficient with relevant software programs and technology/social mediaplatforms--(Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, etc)-- Comfortable with virtual interactions-- Collaborative-- Willingness to attend community events and fundraisers outside of normal business hours.-- Clean driving recordExperience:-- Bachelor's degree preferred-- 5 years of experience selling professional services-- Demonstrated success leading business development strategyPhysical Requirements: -- Occasional traversing throughout assigned building(s)-- Often sitting or standing for extended periods-- Moderate lifting or moving up to 50 poundsManual dexterity to use office equipment
