If you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of gift accounting, you will be preferred for this position. This is a position you will thrive in, if you have a solid understanding of general ledger process and gift accounting.--- Supervise and manage the work of the Senior Gifts Administrator.--- Research and record gift, pledge, and pledge payment adjustments.--- Complete transfers of gifts from subaccounts to new endowment funds when the minimum threshold is reached.--- Review and approve journal entries processed by Senior Gifts Administrator.--- Provide timely responses to donors regarding gifts, wire/stock transfer instructions and tax receipts.--- Provide customer service to all of our internal and external stakeholders, including, development officers, business office staff and donors.--- Research fund information and any discrepancies found during reconciliations.--- Create and implement new processes to increase efficiency and decrease error.--- Assist with special projects and other duties, as assigned.Job Requirements:5+ years of accounting experienceBachelors in Accounting is preferredGift ProcessingBlackbaud SoftwareRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
