For a limited time, Johnston-Willis -Hospital is offering -up to a
-$10,000 -sign-on bonus -to Registered Nurses with at least 1 year
of nursing experience.
Current HCA employees do not qualify.

Johnston-Willis Hospital performs more da Vinci - -robotic
surgeries than any other single facility in Central Virginia and is
the first in Virginia to be designated as a - Center of Excellence
in Robotic Surgery (COERS) -by the - Surgical Review Corporation .
Additional surgical specialties include:
Thoracic, colorectal, general gynecology, gynecological oncology,
general surgery, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), urology,

Nurses are responsible for the overall care of the patient
throughout the peri-operative time period.
On average, 800 patients are seen monthly
Types of surgeries conducted: -Colorectal, general gynecology,
gynecological oncology, general surgery, otolaryngology (ear, nose
and throat), urology, urogynecology , Neuro Surgery, Plastics, Out
Patient Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
Supervises departmental personnel in a manner staff achieve their
potential as members of an effective team.
Manages all direct and indirect nursing care given to the patients
within the department to ensure optimal patient care.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and written, with all
members of the healthcare team, customers and key stakeholders.
Contributes to development, implementation and monitoring of
operational and capital budgets to ensure sound fiscal management
of the department. - Manages departmental supplies and equipment in
a cost effective manner.
Assists the Director of in the continual assessment and improvement
of the department's performance -through monitoring and advancement
of nursing quality and patient safety. - Compiles and analyzes data
-in a systematic method that effectively identifies opportunities
and measures improvement.
Serves as a professional role model for the Nursing Team.
Pursues own professional growth through continuing education,
participation in a professional organization and inservices.
Actively participates in Hospital and community activities to
promote the role of the professional nurse - to recruit and retain
staff as well as market organizational services.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
A BSN or related health degree is preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in this state
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care
CNOR certification (preferred) - - HCA will pay -for certification
and - bonus -will be offered upon completion
Five (5) years current nursing experience; two (2) years of
Previous experience in Nursing Director capacity
