Work you'll do
- Collaborate with the product, engineering and business teams to
understand the requirements that will form the core foundation for
all the future products
- Mentor technical resources in product teams
- Responsible and own periodic client meeting to maintain good
relationship
- Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex
projects
- Actively participate in development of business and vendor
relationships
- Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development
process
- Participate in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives
- Manage project(s) financials including development of financial
plans
- Provide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for
delivery teams and staff
- Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention
activities and provide input and guidance into the staffing
process

The GPS Human Services Transformation offering designs and
implements large, complex systems development and transformation
projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local
government agencies as well as higher education institutions. With
end-users, customers, and workers at the center, we collaborate
with our clients to deliver quality human services and work to
support individuals in need. Some areas that we focus on include
Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support
Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.
Qualifications
Required:
- 8 years or more experience in Infrastructure management
- Extensive experience in designing and architecting n-tier
infrastructure for large scale JEE solutions
- Experience with enterprise application technologies such as
WebSphere, Messaging products, Imaging servers
- Experience in understanding large database management systems
and direct DBAs to manage all aspects of design, physical layout
and application integration
- Experience in managing server security and coordinating with
large data center teams for applications that consist of over 50
servers supporting multiple environments
- Experience in managing a team of system administrators,
database administrators and support staff to manage technical
operations to provide support to development team
- Experience in managing application infrastructure for large SOA
solutions including various aspects of network, web service and
application security
- Experience in analyzing systems and solutions from a
performance perspective for Memory management, thread Management,
CPU utilization etc. with the use of Automated performance analysis
tools
- Experience with large virtual server environments and managing
underlying physical resources
- Thorough understanding of SDLC processes such as RUP
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without
the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the
future
- Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you
do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- ITIL certification would be a plus
- Any Infrastructure or hardware certifications would be a
plus
- PMP certification is a plus
- Cloud certification is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex
environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts is necessary.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail
oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional
relationship management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software
implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of
developers.
- Ability to understand methodologies and tools used for delivery
and display a passion to follow and devise processes for improving
quality
- Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple
deliverables
- Ability to understand requirements and turn them to useful
client deliverables using a team
- Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
