Job Description:
This position will own the development, implementation, and
oversight of Emersons Responsible Sourcing programs, while adhering
to all rules and regulations. The Leader will work for the VP
Global Supply Chain Operations, report out to an Executive Steering
Committee and work collaboratively with an Advisory Group comprised
of Business Unit and Functional resources. When fully mature, the
Responsible Sourcing program will address multiple aspects:
- GHG abatement - Scope 1, 2, and Scope 3 Categories 1 (Purchased
Goods & Services), 2 (Capital Goods), & 4 (Transportation &
Distribution)
- Supplier code of conduct compliance (Humanity)
- Supplier employee diversity and inclusion
- Waste and water usage reduction The position offers a broad,
30,000-foot perspective of Emersons overall global business, with
an emphasis on driving impactful results within supply chain and
operations. This role is a steppingstone for future leaders and
general managers.Open to candidates sitting in any major Emerson
location within the United States such as TX, MN, MO, MN or NJAS A
SENIOR MANAGER RESPONSIBLE SOURCING, YOU WILL:Policy
- Anticipate and respond to emerging trends and disruptions in
ESG issues. Drive awareness and timely action when vital.
- Own the development of a Responsible Sourcing strategy and
facilitate the multi-year implementation.
- Develop annual targets which support the broader Emerson ESG
objectives and work with the Business Units and Commodity Teams to
incorporate these targets into their strategies.Digital Tools
- Refine GHG / Carbon Emissions Calculation methods used.
- Define Key Performance Indicators and work with the SC Center
of Excellence to develop and deploy a Carbon Abatement Project
Tracker to measure progress.
- Design external Supplier resource page to provide training,
resources and allow for self-reporting.Organization
- Develop and upskill a core team of internal ESG champions (ie,
Greenbelts) who can drive adoption across the Supply Chain
community.
- Develop playbooks and a training program to retain the
developed knowledge. Work with the SC Center of Excellence to
deploy training modules.
- Ensure close cooperation with multi-discipline teams (Finance,
Product Planning, Engineering, IT, Operations, Quality, Trade
Compliance) in order to improve the sustainability of our sourced
products and services.Business Processes
- Work collaboratively with the Indirect Team and Design teams to
reduce waste and carbon footprint of our packaging.
- Incorporate ESG elements into business processes to drive
cultural adoption (New Product Development reviews, Supplier
Business reviews and Scorecards, Sourcing Decisions).
- Develop and deploy a multi-tiered supplier engagement strategy
which communicates requirements, provides educational materials,
and enables Emerson to supervise supplier compliance and carbon

- Bachelors degree
- 3+ years prior experience in Supply Chain, Operations
Management, or Project Management (Leadership experience
preferred)
- Strong analytical skills, data analysis, and presentation
presence
- Ability to apply common applications including Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint
- Must be adaptable and allow for a flexible work schedule

- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain or related

pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we
operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review
process. The salary range for this role is $116,400 to $174,600
annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and
