Job Description:
Selectek has an immediate need for a Soil & Concrete Lab Manager
in the Richmond, VA area.
Job description:
Bring your experience and knowledge of CCRL & AASHTO accreditation
to our firm and help take our concrete and soils laboratory to the
next level
Work with Engineering staff and field techs to produce and review
technical reports
Conducting tests and field observations for inspection of job
sites
Documenting field inspection and completing and turning in reports
daily
Perform Laboratory analyses and interpretation of laboratory
data
Required:
5+ years of experience in geotechnical or structural
engineering
Experience and knowledge with geotechnical studies, drilling
methods, laboratory analyses, and interpretation of laboratory
data
Knowledge of CCRL & AASHTO Accreditation for Laboratories.
Concrete Field Tech, Grade 1
Aggregate Level 1
Aggregate, Level 2
Lab Tech, Level 2
Preferred:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
Job order details:
This is a dual role. This person will sometimes do
inspection/testing of sites and other times be working in the lab.
Main focus will the laboratory functions.
Someone who has been in the field doing soil/concrete samples and
has experience working in a lab environment would be the ideal fit.
This person has likely held a title of Lab Manager, Lab Technician
II Geologist, or maybe Geotechnical Engineer.

DL rate range: $25/hour - $32/hour ($52,000 - $67,000 annual
salary)
Term of assignment: 6 Months T-T-D
Pay method when direct: Hourly
Hours and shift: Monday to Friday (7AM - 4PM) OR (8AM - 5PM) 40
Hours+/week
Work from home: No
Working remote: Sometimes
Overtime expected: Yes
Travel: Yes. Local travel to inspection/testing sites.
Work attire: Casual
