Director of Quality Needed for Top Construction Company

• Quality Manufacturing Director
• Greater Richmond, VAA leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Director of Quality (manufacturing) to help drive/implement their Quality Management System (QMS) in their manufacturing facility as well as establish Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and techniques into the manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of ISO9001:2015, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean, Six Sigma.The Director of Quality will have the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for documenting, managing, implementing the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Establish and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools into the manufacturing processes
  • Manage team of quality engineers and quality control supervisors
  • Perform Quality Assurance audits on the modular processes to provide assessment of quality
  • Establish and lead quality initiatives for the manufacturing projects
  • Initiate/Assign/Manage Discrepancy Notices, Corrective Action Reports, Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure safety and quality at the facilities are consistent
  • Drive LEAN Manufacturing Principles
  • Ensure OSHA guidelines are being followedThe ideal Director of Quality candidate will have the following skillset:
    • 10+ years manufacturing experience preferably in automotive, heavy equipment, aerospace, modular construction industries
    • Proven QAQC experience in manufacturing
    • Experience in leading, auditing and integrating the Quality Management System (QMS) across various disciplines
    • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related manufacturing field
    • Extensive knowledge of ISO9001:2015, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean, Six Sigma
    • Working knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma Principles
    • Ability to manage third party audits related to ISO9001, CMMI, ISO27001
