Job Description:
Job Description This position will be responsible for the
management and work performed by up to 20 employees supporting
Strategic Systems Programs in Southeast Washington, DC supporting
Facility Acquisition and Engineering requirements for multiple
programs.You will be responsible for leading, managing, and
reviewing work across electrical, mechanical, structural, explosive
safety, environmental and civil engineering disciplines to include
review and approval of professional technical work that requires a
knowledge and application of engineering principles. A good
understanding of explosive safety will be helpful in this
position.We enjoy an excellent working relationship with the client
and other government and contractor personnel that you will be
responsible for continuing. To achieve that you will be creating
and maintaining schedules, developing reports on project status and
progress measured against specific schedules, writing and reviewing
technical reports and communicating.You will set requirements and
communicate with subcontractors as required; allocating work and
funding to meet contracted effort. Internally you will be
responsible for performance against budgeted hours and funding and
communication of that with BAE Systems and the client.This position
is challenging while providing a significant amount of job
satisfaction.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum
education and years of related/relevant work experience required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline and at
least 10 years of related/relevant work experience.Additional
skills/experience required:
- Ability to communicate well with peers, direct reports and
managers internal to the Program as well as external government
client and other government and contractor organizations
- Computer Savvy: nimble with Microsoft Office, Adobe
Acrobat
- Writing and verbal skills a mustPreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Working Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)
- Working Knowledge of Unified Facilities Guide Specifications
(UFGS)
- Developing Facility Criteria and Evaluation Testing
- Knowledge and work experience with Lightning Protection and
NAVSEA OP-5
- Knowledge and work experience with the MILCON documentation
including Form DD1391; Basic Facility Requirements (BFRs); Facility
Planning Documents (FPDs); Concept Drawings; Budgetary Cost
Estimates.
- Establishment of Aerial Photography requirementsPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
