SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
Completes hospital and department-specific education and competency
Participates in the patient assessment function to determine the
type of care required to meet the patients? initial and changing
Provides patient care in accordance with established and approved
standards of care.--------------
As determined by own professional skills, competence and
credentials, provides individualized care in response to specific
patient need including needs related to age, growth and
Evaluates clinical outcomes and modifies approach or recommends
modifications in approaches to treatment in order to improve
Obtains, manages and uses information to improve outcomes and
individual and hospital performance in patient care and support
Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize all aspects of OH
and EH patient care; utilizes effective decision making
Seeks out educational experiences to enhance/obtains necessary
continuing education for OH and EH nursing.
Performs annual Employee Health reviews for HDH-Forest.
Required ? Registered Nursing experience in the field of
occupational health or acute care.
Preferred ? Experience or Training in BAT, audiometry, vision
screening and spirometry.
Required - Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current
license as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Virginia
or compact license.
Preferred - BSN degree or currently enrolled in BSN Program.
