Our ER is also a state-authorized Level II trauma center and we offer Central Virginia?s only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists.Chippenham Med/Surg Trauma Telemetry Unit:* 33 Beds* Telemetry* Trauma Designated* Spine Surgery* Med/Surg* Women?s Health Surgery* Vascular SurgeryPatient population includes: * Spinal Surgery* Women?s Health* Vascular Surgery* Dialysis* Trauma (to include car accident, fall, head trauma, ETOH, and many more) * Medical Patients (to include--sepsis, ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, GI, Fluid Overload, renal failure, osteomyelitis and many more)The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) will perform care under the direction of the unit Nursing Leadership Team and the Director. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Responsible for clinical management of the unit.2. Functions as a role model providing leadership for the unit.3. Assists in staff personnel management.4. Assures satisfaction of customers (patient, visitors, physicians and staff)5. Actively participates in Quality Management activities.6. Maintains effective communications.7. Participates in policy and standard development.8. Assists in assuring cost effective unit operations.9. Assures appropriate documentation.10. Demonstrates an awareness of self learning needs.11. Assures compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental and organizational standards.Check Us Out and Like Us on Facebook!Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:* Diploma or Associates Degree from an accredited nursing program (required) * BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)* American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)EXPERIENCE:* Preferred: Five (5) years current nursing experience. Experience as a Clinical Coordinator with demonstrated proficiency.
