Responsibilities:Supervises patient and staff activities on a
hospital wide basis assuring provision of quality care and a safe,
therapeutic environmentRespond in a timely manner to potential
emergency circumstances with attentive and proper
action.Communicates with unit and service coordinators to assure
consistency and continuity in maintaining hospital
standardsEstablish, manage and monitor safety standards, processes,
communications, training and systems for
employeesQualifications:BSN in Nursing PreferredCurrently
registered in Virginia with the Board of NursingPrefer at least
four years of nursing experience in a rehab or psych facility with
at least one year of supervisory experienceMed/Surge experience
strongly preferredCurrent Virginia driver's license with a minimum
of +1 points is requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift
and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, standing, walking, kneeling, and
reaching while working with patients.Requires a full range of body
motion including handling and physical restraints of patients.Why

Duties:Provides management and supervision to the nursing staff on
unitsEnsures quality of patient/resident care in order to comply
with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agenciesEnsures proper
documentation of treatment: qualitative, quantitative, and
timely.Works cooperatively as a member of the
multi-disciplinary.Job Requirements:Graduate of an accredited
school of nursingBSN PreferredHold an active Registered Nurse
License in the state of VA or Compact StateTwo years of inpatient
medical surgery, rehab or psychiatric experienceOne Year of
progressive experience in management and/or supervision.Must be
able to sustain physical activity throughout the scheduled
