    and CT



    40 hour per week
    four 10 hour day shifts
    Weekdays from 7am - 530pm or 9am - 730pmPotential to work on holidays
    On call: None
    Prefer Diagnostic Imaging Radiology experience, progressive care, ICU, or
    ED backgroundACLS and PALS certified
    Basic Knowledge Assessment test is not
    required-
    Possible reassignments within the
    competency-
    Unit is located in the Gateway Building, Basement floor with the possibility of
    working at off-site locations including the Ambulatory Outpatient
    Pavilion, Short Pump Pavilion, and Stony Point if needed-
    Radiology in the Gateway Building has 1
    CT scanner and 4 MRI scanners
    Dress code: Ceil blue/white
    Gateway Basement assignments are rotated
    within multiple roles: IP coordinator, scanners 1&2, scanner 3,
    scanner 4, CT
    Care provided on unit: This position is focused on both MRI and CT studies for
    outpatients, inpatients, including adults and pediatrics.This area
    sees a full spectrum of patients, from low acuity to high ICU acuity of
    all ages.Nursing starts IVs for MRI and CT
    contrast studies and performsPOCT testing.The nurseisresponsible for
    checkingpatientsmedications, vital signs, lab results, and
    history to ensurethat it issafe to proceed with the planned
    study.Anesthesia prep and recovery is provided for this area
    as well. Nursing works closely with the anesthesia team for sedation
    for MRI studies and perform phase 1 anesthesia recovery. We also
    help with specialty MRI studies such as pacemakers, secretin studies,
    defecography, and various other specialty MRI and CT studies.Nursing
    also coordinates with multiple team members to help bring ED patients and
    inpatients for their scans.MRI is focused on patient and team member
    safety going into the MRI magnet. MRI Full Stop training is
    required. The nurse is responsiblefor responding to any IV
    infiltration, contrast reaction, patient fall, or patient safety
