Intensive Care Unit SICU Registered Nurse. We want your knowledge
and expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse
(RN), on our Surgical Intensive Care Unit SICU you will support our
12-bed unit with a typical 1:2 patient ratio. The patient
population includes wide variety of critical care-related surgical
patients, trauma, neurological patients. You will also provide
clinical and administrative support on the unit for patients who
are often connected to a host of equipment including advanced heart
and Intracranial monitors, ventilators for breathing assistance,
CRRT, ECMO, vasoactive drips, Rapid Infusers, Non-invasive and
Invasive monitoring who receive constant personal attention. Your
Primary function in this role is to instruct and educate patients
and their family members.As a member of SICU you will administer
all prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication
administration, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital
signs.Our nursing team monitors, records and communicates patient
conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation
systems.You will serve as the primary coordinator of all
disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including patient's
discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What
qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of
nursing.Bachelor's Degree preferred.Licensed a Registered Nurse in
the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.Advanced
Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment
start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30
days of employment start date This role requires you to be fully
vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law
or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is
