Unlock your potential at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest!Job Summary and Qualifications At Henrico Doctors' Hospital, our Cardiac Stepdown Nurses are responsible for providing care to post cardiac surgery, valve repair, chest pains, coronary artery, cardio thoracic surgery, and telemetry patients. In addition to providing a comforting, safe and healing environment for patients and their families, you will also perform and document care for all admissions and patients. You will administer all medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administrationOur staff is required to acquire and maintain current knowledge pertinent to nursing practice in Critical CareYour role initiates and documents patient teaching and discharge planning including family and/or significant other in collaboration with multidisciplinary team membersWhat qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact licenseCurrent BLS certification This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
