Who you are:
The Registered Nurse is one who plans, coordinates, delivers, and
evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or
self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or
other invasive procedures. Although the RN works collaboratively
with other perioperative professionals (e.g.: Surgeons, anesthesia
professional, surgical technologists) to meet patient needs, the RN
is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing
care provided during the operative or other invasive procedure.
Using clinical knowledge, judgement, and clinical reasoning skills
based on scientific principles, the RN plans and implements nursing
care to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual
responses of the patient having an operative or invasive
procedure.
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus - Certain criteria is required to qualify for
the bonus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in
nursing preferred.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Two years of Perioperative services experience preferred or
graduate of AORN Perioperative 101.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current licensure in Texas as Registered Nurse.
Certified though the American Heart Association in BLS.
ACLS and PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire.
WORK SCHEDULE
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday. Will be required to take
calls on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Work hours may fluctuate
to accommodate the operating room schedule. Must be flexible if
required to work long or irregular hours. During low census/patient
procedures may be required to leave early or rotate days off.
