General Pediatrician, Assistant or Associate Professor - F69050VCU Health - Children's Hospital of Richmond (Virginia)The Division of General Academic Pediatrics at the expanding Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) atVCU is recruiting an additional full-time academic general pediatrician to join our growing team.Our faculty provides primary care for children and adolescents through age 21 at a major urbanacademic medical center.Our division's mission is to strive for the advancement of healthcare for our community'schildren by integrating excellent patient care, quality medical education and innovative clinicalresearch and patient advocacy into our programs.Candidates must be Board Certified or eligible in Pediatrics. Responsibilities will include:- Primary care clinical services- Newborn nursery inpatient clinical services- Participation in resident and medical student education and evaluation- To develop and oversee Quality Improvement (QI) projects for the Division of General Pediatrics- Involvement in divisional/departmental collaborative research and advocacy focusing onchildren's health.Candidates are therefore expected to have excellent administrative, clinical and teaching skillsand a strong interest in clinical research, quality improvement, or population health initiatives.The faculty at VCU shares a common commitment to providing exceptional clinical care tochildren as well as providing a quality education to trainees. There are opportunities for teachingand supervision of medical and graduate students and pediatric residents.
