BON SECOURS MERCY HEALTH PALLIATIVE MEDICINE PHYSICIAN PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA Bon Secours St. Mary's Palliative Medicine department is seeking a Palliative Medicine physician to expand the team to Southside Medical Center (SMC). Our comprehensive, expert team provides specialty Palliative consultations at 5 hospitals in the Central Virginia region. SMC is a 300 bed hospital in Petersburg, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to bring Palliative Medicine further upstream to a hospital that has already welcomed service by Bon Secours Hospice. Position Highlights:

• Lead a new inpatient consultative service focusing on symptom management and complex medical decision making.
• Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM plus call.
• Practice with the support of four established inpatient program with a supportive, collaborative culture that have earned Joint Commission Certification since 2014. Requirements:
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certification in Palliative Medicine and Hospice
  • State of VA medical license
  • Demonstrated ability in building referrals for Palliative Medicine
