Job Description:

Are you looking to embark on a new challenge in your career in Medical Lab Science? If so, LabCorp wants to speak with you about exciting opportunities to join our team as a *Medical Lab Technologist* in *Richmond, VA*. In this position, you will work in a STAT laboratory.
*The work schedule* *for this position will be:* Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm. Techs rotate start times on 1st shift.
*Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.

* A minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR an MLS degree.

* Hematology, Coag, Urinalysis, and Chemistry experience is required.

* Proficient phlebotomy experience is required.

* Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus.

* Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

* Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

* Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.

* Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

* Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.

* Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
