We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAt Henrico Doctors Hospital, our Same Day Surgery RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital. While providing clinical and administrative support on the unit, you will also be responsible for performing patient care according to SDS standards for all surgical procedures pre and post-operatively. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!
  • Analyzing pertinent data, communicating findings and documenting information
  • As a SDS nurse, you will assure all lab work, EKG, and x-rays are obtained, and initiates completion of chart
  • You demonstrate competency in pre-operative and post-operative Anesthesia instructions, patient teaching, and discharge planning involving patient/significant other/family
  • Utilizing equipment and performing special procedures competently as related to unit Scope of Care will be a daily responsibilityREQUIREMENTS
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
    • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
    • Current BLS, PALS & ACLS certification
    • At least two years of experience in Surgical Services / OR has provided quality healthcare services to the Richmond community since 1974.
