Surgical experience License: Virginia License required or proof of
compact license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Must-Have: Must be able to float to multiple units including
medical, surgical, and neuro. Accepts first-time travelers.
Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in
Medical Surgical Float. This role encompasses working in a 450-bed
trauma center. The nurse must be able to float to various units as
needed. Day shifts typically operate with a patient-to-nurse ratio
of 1:5. Night shifts typically have a patient-to-nurse ratio of
1:6. Emergency department assignments may be required based on
facility needs. Candidates must have iCare experience. All units
require specialty experience within the last year. RTO should be
minimized and ideally, no requests for a week off during the
assignment. All requests for time off must be included in the
initial submission. No additional time off requests will be
approved after an offer has been given. A supervisory reference is
required for submission.
