Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing License: Must have DC RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must provide proof of pending license status at the time of submission. Must have DC licensure in hand prior to the start date. Description: The position requires a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nurse. Shifts will be 3x12 hours on nights. The unit requires every other weekend availability. Nurses may be required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity. Candidates should have experience in telemetry and will be responsible for monitoring patients. Strong candidates will possess at least 1.5 years of steady experience in Medical-Surgical nursing. Previous charge nurse experience, IV therapy, and phlebotomy skills are preferred. Cerner charting experience is also advantageous. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5. This position is suited for nurses who are flexible and can adapt to the needs of the unit.
