Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/03/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Resource Pool position requiring PCU and MS proficiency, night shifts, and Epic experience. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Stepdown Resource Pool covering all PCU/Stepdown and Medical-Surgical units - May provide additional coverage for CCU and Emergency Department with qualifying competencies - Patient ratios in PCU are 1:5 - Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Assignment length is 13 weeks, up to 26 weeks available by request - Frequent floating between units possible every 4 hours depending on hospital needs - Epic EMR experience required - Must be willing to float between multiple units as staffing needs change - Required to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment; 2 holidays during the winter holiday season - Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted as travelers - Orientation modules provided, with 5 hours for general orientation and 2 hours for Epic specific training - Previous employees must have separated for at least one year before consideration as a traveler - Travelers may not return after 365 days of assignment regardless of separation period, with rare exceptions - Submission requires two references, copy of driver's license, and Social Security Number - All requested time off must be submitted up front Requirements - Active VA or Compact RN license required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Experience as an RN using Epic EMR required - Must be comfortable working all PCU/Stepdown and MS units with 1:5 ratios - Experience working in Stepdown or Resource Pool nursing settings preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619503.
