Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a cardiac cath lab License: RN Certifications: RCIS, RT Must-Have: Experience working in an interventional cardiac cath lab Description: Monday to Friday schedule; 4 days per week, with STEMI call. The unit has 3 cardiac catheterization labs. There are 10 to 11 staff members working per day in the lab. The team includes a mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists on day shift. Night shift staffing is not required. Patient ratios are 3 staff members per room. Equipment used includes GE X-ray and MacLab. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates with experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases will be given preference. Typical procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, Impella and balloon-pump procedures, peripheral cases, and complex PCIs. Occasional device placements may also be performed. A personality that is easy-going, kind, and friendly is desirable. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and busy lab. Professional conduct and attendance are vital. Staff should be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call-back for emergencies. On-call duties may include some weekends and weekdays.
