Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated MRI Technologist like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications - Obtain quality MRI images of patients. - Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications. - Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations. - Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Observant of patients’ conditions. - Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests. - Administers contrast media as required. - Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images. - Completes and maintains educational requirements. - Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. - Understands and operates electronic information systems. - Participates in Department QA as requested. Keeps department neat, orderly and well stocked. - Ensures patient safety, to include cleaning the bore of the magnet as required. - Other duties as assigned. What qualifications you will need: - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Vocational School Graduate - (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date Appomattox Imaging Center is part of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) family.
