Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,325 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required. License: Virginia or compact state nursing license must be in hand at the time of submittal. Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Prior experience in a cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) or cardiac surgery intensive care unit (CSICU) - Epic charting experience required - Level 1 trauma experience and academic facility experience - Invasive hemodynamic monitoring experience - Skills in managing CRRT and IABP - Experience in post-operative recovery of cardio-thoracic surgery patients Description: The position requires experience in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit. Candidates must have experience at a level 1 facility. The role involves providing care for patients with various cardiac conditions, including CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, aortic surgeries, VADs, and transplants. Duties include invasive hemodynamic monitoring and administration of vasoactive IV medications. The unit has a daily census of 13 patients with an assignment ratio of 1-2 patients per nurse. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Specialized equipment such as ECMO, CRRT, IABP, and total artificial hearts will be utilized. All candidates must provide two professional references. Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate. Candidates must float within their scope if needed. A BSN is preferred for this position.
