Active state/compact license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS
Must-Have: Interested candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of
experience in a hospital setting. Active state/compact license must
be provided with the application. Candidates must possess BLS and
ACLS certifications. Candidates must pass a basic rhythm test.
Description: The unit consists of 33 beds with a staff of 55. The
day shift includes one charge nurse, one unit secretary, 7-8
registered nurses, and 2-3 patient care technicians. The night
shift also includes one charge nurse, one unit secretary, 7-8
registered nurses, and 2 patient care technicians. Patient ratios
are typically 5 to 6 patients per nurse. Equipment used on the unit
includes EKG machines, code carts, vital sign machines, vascular
Dopplers, wound vacs, and rhythm monitoring systems. The electronic
medical records system in use is Meditech. Typical procedures
performed include small incisions and drainages, peritoneal
dialysis, and thoracentesis. Candidates with experience in
medical-surgical nursing and strong patient focus are preferred.
Ideal candidates should have a high-energy personality and a
positive attitude. The dress code requires navy scrubs, and no
cotton jackets are permitted. The workplace has received
