RN in Hopewell, Virginia, 23860! Job Title: Registered Nurse

License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Ability to care for
critically ill patients Ability to monitor rhythm strips, recognize
changes, and escalate to physicians in a timely manner ICU nursing
experience Description: The ICU consists of 11 beds. The unit
typically has 3-5 RNs on the day shift and 3-5 RNs on the night
shift. There is also 1 unit secretary on the day shift. Patient
ratios are 2:1, with a surge ratio of 1:3. The unit is equipped
with GE Beside Monitoring and utilizes Meditech for electronic
medical records. Typical procedures performed in the unit include
caring for high-acuity patients, managing ventilators, assisting
with intubation and bronchoscopy at the bedside, performing SLED,
transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions. Ideal
candidates will possess high energy, a belief in teamwork, strong
critical thinking skills, and a positive attitude with the ability
to adapt to changes quickly. Floating areas may include PCU,
telemetry, and ER (only to take hold patients, not ER patients).
The dress code requires black pants and Caribbean blue tops. Team
members are expected to work every other weekend, with no call
