Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is
available to support early childhood through elementary students in
a K-12 educational setting in Harrisonburg, VA. This part-time role
offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential speech and
language services to a caseload of approximately 30 students
ranging from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized
treatment plans tailored to student needs. Deliver direct therapy
services on-site 2-3 days per week, totaling approximately 20 hours
weekly. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational
professionals to support student progress. Maintain accurate
documentation and compliance with state and school guidelines.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized
Education Program (IEP) development. Qualifications and Experience:
State SLP License required. Clinical Certification in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Completion of Clinical
Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred. Previous experience working in
school settings with early childhood and elementary-aged children
is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage a caseload of about 30 students efficiently.
