Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Chesapeake, VA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist North Chesapeake, VA Join our team as a Locum Physician specializing in Obstetrics (OB) Hospitalist services in North Chesapeake, VA. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to provide exceptional care within a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting hospital operations and patient outcomes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth obstetric services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care during your assigned shifts. Required Skills: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid medical license to practice in Virginia Excellent clinical skills with strong knowledge of obstetric procedures and protocols Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced hospital settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient safety and quality care Nice to Have Skills: Experience with hospitalist or inpatient OB services Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Advanced certifications such as NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or Fetal Monitoring certification Preferred Education and Experience: Physician with a minimum of 2 years of recent obstetric hospitalist experience Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one Other Requirements: Ability to start on 12/30/2025 Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed Successful completion of background checks and credentialing Travel reimbursement and licensure support as applicable This position offers an hourly pay rate of $214.50, along with competitive benefits including weekly direct deposit pay, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
