Position Job Title: Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology
Technician Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty:
Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: 3 years required,
neurovascular experience preferred License: Virginia or compact
license required Certifications: ARRT CI, BLS, ACLS required
Must-Have: Previous charge experience Epic experience required
First-time travelers will be considered Description: This position
involves working as a Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology
Technician. You will be responsible for performing a variety of
interventional radiology procedures. The position is Monday to
Friday, with a rotating call schedule. You will be required to have
experience in interventional radiology procedures such as
angioplasty, embolization, and catheter/drain exchange. Maintaining
a sterile field and using appropriate isolation precautions is
essential. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team,
supporting various patient needs. Candidates should be able to
recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and handle emergency
situations effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability
to collaborate with other healthcare professionals are important.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent technical skills and
attention to detail. Overall, this role is crucial for providing
quality care to patients undergoing interventional procedures.
