A full-time, itinerant audiologist position is available in Suffolk, VA, offering the unique opportunity to develop and lead an audiology program within the local school district. This role involves providing comprehensive hearing services directly at school locations, stepping in to fill a vital gap after the previous clinic-based provider ceased service to the district. Key Responsibilities: Conduct hearing examinations and audiology assessments at multiple school sites. Develop, implement, and manage a district-wide audiology services program tailored to student needs. Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, and other school staff to support students' hearing health and educational success. Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable regulatory and licensure standards. Travel between assigned schools within the district to provide 1:1 audiology services. Qualifications: PhD in Audiology required. Current Virginia Audiologist License mandatory. Experience in school-based audiology services highly preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently in an itinerant role, with flexible travel within the district. This full-time position requires approximately 37.5 hours per week and offers a contract-based engagement with competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
