Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client in Arlington, TX 76017. This is a contract opportunity and a great way to work with a leading healthcare organization! Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Arlington, TX 76017 Shift: Mon – Fri, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Duration: Contract Payrate: $20-$23 hr. on W2 (Pay rate based on experience and qualifications) Responsibilities: Perform duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice Room patients and prepare them for examinations Take vitals and assist providers during exams Administer non-intravenous medications and injections Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws Conduct EKGs and simple specimen collection Change wound dressings, remove staples, and obtain cultures Prepare, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment (autoclave) Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Support patient flow and coordinate care per provider direction Follow infection control standards and patient confidentiality guidelines Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification Current BLS certification for healthcare providers Basic computer skills with intermediate Excel proficiency Strong communication and customer service skills 3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred About Pride Health Pride Health is Pride Global’s healthcare staffing branch, providing recruitment solutions for healthcare professionals and the industry at large since 2010.
