TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3
years in Critical Care preferred; will consider strong candidates
with less experience License: VA or Compact License required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Strong neuro
experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
Proficient in EPIC Ability to float to Stepdown Unit and
potentially ED/MedSurg No prior license or background hits
Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing
in ICU. Candidates must have strong neuro experience. They will
manage patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, renal
failure, trauma, sepsis, and post-surgical issues. Strong skills in
telemetry monitoring, IV drip titration, and conscious sedation are
necessary. The nurse will provide care for a patient population
including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must be
proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing patients with
multisystem organ dysfunction. The patient ratio will generally be
1:2-3. Preferred qualifications include travel experience and
background in Trauma Level I or II. Nurses should be prepared to
work evenings, weekends, and holidays during their contract.
Candidate's preferences regarding scheduling should be clearly
indicated. Candidates should be aware of the facility's policies
regarding float requirements and potential relocations to hold ICU
patients. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong critical
