MedStar Health, a non-profit leader in patient-first healthcare in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Vehicle Operator/EMT Transport to join our Emergency Management Services team. This role is crucial for the quick and safe transportation of patients needing emergency medical assistance. The position requires robust knowledge of emergency vehicle operation and expert patient handling techniques, ensuring swift and secure delivery of patients to our healthcare facilities. Operate emergency response vehicles in a safe and efficient manner adhering to all federal, state, and local laws. Provide immediate medical care during patient transport, complying with all protocols and guidelines. Maintain vehicle readiness, including sanitation, supply stock levels, and operational integrity. Communicate effectively with dispatch and healthcare teams to ensure accurate patient data and timely response. Participate in regular training sessions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency response procedures. Proficiency in operating emergency response vehicles Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures Ability to navigate under pressure in high-stress environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and ability to lift patients Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification Valid driver's license with clean driving record CPR certification
